SLOW DOWN & ENJOY THE SIMPLE THINGS IN LIFE
In a world that celebrates speed, we believe there is beauty in slowing down.
The finest bread isn’t made in hours. It develops over days. Flavor deepens through patience. Texture is shaped by time. Every loaf is mixed in small batches, naturally fermented, and crafted by hand using locally milled flour because we believe traditional methods still matter.
That same philosophy extends beyond our bread. Whether we’re laminating buttery croissants, preparing seasonal pastries, or building a sandwich on freshly baked sourdough, we approach every recipe with intention and care. No shortcuts. No unnecessary additives. Just honest, simple ingredients transformed by hand.
From Our Family to Yours
Missy’s began around our family table, where meals were never rushed, and conversation often became the most meaningful part of our days. Those gatherings shaped our belief that great food has the power to bring people together.
After more than 30 years of baking in a professional kitchen, Missy partnered with her daughter, Maddy, to bring her dream of owning a bakery to life. What began at the Hill Country Heritage Farmers Market in Kerrville has found its home at Missy’s Provisions, a neighborhood bakery nestled in San Antonio’s historic Monte Vista neighborhood. Each time you step into our store, we invite you to take a deep breath, slow down from the hustle and bustle of life, and connect with those around you.
Where Great Bread Begins
Locally Milled
Flour
We proudly bake with stone-ground, organic heritage grains locally milled at Barton Springs Mill.
Slow
Fermentation
Slowly fermented for deep flavor, natural texture, and improved digestibility, relying on time rather than shortcuts.
Ancient
Grains
By incorporating ancient grains like einkorn and spelt, we create exceptional flavor, texture, and nutrition in each loaf.
Simple
Ingredients
Our bread is made with just flour, water, salt, and wild yeast. No additives or preservatives ever.
Cultivating Community, One Loaf at a Time
Bread was never meant to be eaten alone. It was placed at the center of the table, meant to be broken, shared, and savored in good company. Our bakery is a place to gather, to linger, and to reconnect with others. A place where conversations stretch a little longer and simple moments feel meaningful.
Whether you’re stopping in for a quiet morning coffee, meeting a friend over lunch, or bringing home a loaf to your family, we hope our bread becomes part of your daily ritual.
